out

Shortly after writing my previous post, something in the air split. I mean that in a good way. The gates of heaven cracked open, and life filtered in. I'm not sure how to explain it with words. Since then, God has opened up my eyes, removed the mud, and helped me to see that He really is here. I realized through this short (but what seemed to be so long) time of testing did indeed help develop perseverance, just like it says in James 1. I also realized that God used this time to teach me what other people experience when they are in bondage (empathy). One of my friends was going through a hard time, and when she described what she was experiencing, it was identical to what I was experiencing. We were able to talk, pray, and work through it. I love being here in Spain, but there are tough days, just like at home. There are days when time seems to stand still. There are boring times, blank, dark, hopeless times, but even during these, God is moving. I don't know what He has in mind, but I know it is so much greater than what I could even imagine.
Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen."

I'm happy you made it through that time. I went through a similar time when i felt hopeless, however, in hindsight it was more of a time of trial, and even though nothing may have drastically changed, it was at least a lesson in hope.

i don't know if this makes sense, i just had a bunch of crap go down at work, but I'm happy to hear that things are going well

i can totally identify with that. thanks! things have been looking up since that time. it was definitely a time of trial for me, too, and God worked it out to bless my friend at the same time.
