Knowledge vs experience

This concept could be applied to virtually any situation - a job, a hobby, spiritual life, whatever.

I think people underestimate experience with God and overvalue knowledge. Both are good and precious things, but I believe there must be a balance.

What do you think?
First, to what situation do you apply this concept of knowledge vs experience?
Then, what ratio of knowledge-experience do you think is best in that situation (i.e., 50-50, 40-60, 90-10)?

I totally agree with you Ang :) I've thought a lot about this as related to spirituality. A lot of times we know something in our head but we need to also know it in our hearts--through experience. I can say that I know God loves me but until I encounter that love and experience it, it's just head knowledge and not heart knowledge. Both are important. I'd go 50/50 on this one...but I could be wrong. You can't have one without the other, that's for sure. thanks for your thoughts :)

I think real knowledge comes from experience. You can't have one without the other.
